Obituary: Bradley R. Jones, 60, Of Fairfield

He was best known in the community through his local business where he restored antique furniture that brought new life to family treasures.

Bradley R. Jones, 60, passed away on May 12, 2017 surrounded by his loving family. Brad, a lifelong resident of Westport and Fairfield, graduated from Roger Ludlowe High School. He married his high school sweetheart and was a devoted husband and father.

He was best known in the community through his local business where he restored antique furniture, which brought new life to family treasures. Brad was an artist of many passions, a wine maker, painter, furniture builder, hunter, taxidermist, and all around tinkerer. He was an avid fly fisherman who had a passion for conserving wildlife and his greatest pleasure was fishing in his kayak.

He is survived by his loving wife, Louisa Jones; his two daughters, Eva Jones (Sara MacSorley) and Melissa Glazer (Steve Glazer); his siblings Christine Fogel (Ira Fogel), Deborah Jones (John Katzenberger), and David Jones (Patricia Monahan); and many nieces, nephews, and extended family members.

In lieu of flowers, donations may be made in his name to the Smilow Cancer Hospital, Hematology Malignancy, Lymphoma Center in care of Dr. Stuart Seropian, P.O. Box 1849, New Haven, CT 06508.
