Carol Ann Heron Stewart, 59, formerly of Fairfield, passed away on January 30, 2017 in her Southbury home.

Carol's memory will be embraced by her children, Russell Stewart Jr. and his wife Lindsay, of Brooklyn, NY, Deanna Tart and her husband Keen, of Lisbon; her cherished grandchildren, Eva and Jordyn Stewart, Amelia Tart; her father, Wilfred Heron, of Ridgefield; her brother, Chris Heron and his wife Debbie, of Redding; her aunt Theresa and uncle Jimmy, of Saratoga, NY; nieces & nephew, Erica, Brooke, and CJ Heron; her former husband, Russell Stewart, Sr., of Fairfield; several dear friends; She was predeceased by her loving mother, Mary Ann Heron and granddaughter, Sophie Leigh Tart.

Carol possessed an amazing zeal for life. She had a unique glowing presence and personality to light up any room she entered. She had a strong passion for taking care of those close to her heart. Spending quality time with her family and friends, listening and dancing to her favorite music, watching her favorite soap operas, cheering on her New York Mets and shopping at Lord & Taylor's were all among Carol's simple life pleasures.
