Carol was born in Bridgeport and raised in Fairfield where she resided for over 55 years. Carol attended St. Thomas Aquinas School in Fairfield, graduated from Roger Ludlowe High School in 1978, and then furthered her education by receiving a Bachelor of Science in Accounting from the University of Connecticut in 1982. Carol then worked for People’s Bank for nearly 10 years before deciding to take up her favorite career of raising her children.

Carol was an avid fan of her beloved New York Mets and New York Jets despite often being “absolutely disgusted” by each. She rarely missed a weeknight of watching Jeopardy and Wheel of Fortune where she enjoyed competing against her children and friends. She was an active member of the Gaelic-American Club of Fairfield and the Ukrainian American Club of Southport. One of Carol’s favorite hobbies was knowing all the best Happy Hours in town where she made many dear friends. Her pursuit was to find the best version of her favorite drink, Tanqueray Gin Cosmo.
Carol’s greatest love was her family. She is survived by her son, Collin [and Karen] Colburn and her grandson, Landon of Fairfield; her daughter, Shannon [and Anthony] Mazzola of Norwalk; her sister Joan [and William] Joyce of Shelton; and her “baby”, Bessie. Carol is reunited in heaven with her parents, Walter C. Orlowski, Sr. and Jeanne M. Orlowski; her brother, Monsignor Walter C. Orlowski, Jr., and her life-long friend, Marian Lubbert.
