Obituary: David Alan Galemba, 59, of Fairfield

David Alan Galemba, 59, of Fairfield, passed away peacefully in St. Vincent Medical Center on Wednesday November 7, 2018. Born in Bridgeport he was the son of the late Henry M. Galemba Sr. and Mary Louise Pokorny and was a lifelong Fairfield resident.

David was an avid chef and enjoyed cooking and catering to his family and many friends with keen interest and enthusiasm. He was an outdoorsman and loved fishing, clamming and gardening. He is survived by his son, Jesse Galemba of Shelborne, NH, his daughter, Kelly Galemba of NH, a sister, Carol Galmeba and her partner, Terry O’Dea, of Fairfield, a brother, Leon Galemba and his wife Dawn of Fairfield,nieces and nephews, Wendy, Becky, Dustin, Jody, Leon, Tyler and Marley and grand nieces and nephews, Kurt, Dylan, Tyler, Justin, Taylor, Dustin, Daniel, Ella and Maddie. He was predeceased in addition to his parents by his brother, Henry M. Galemba Jr.

Friends and relatives are invited to attend a Memorial Mass of Christian Burial on Saturday November, 24, 2018 at 12:00 Noon in Holy Family Church, 700 Old Stratfield Rd. Fairfield celebrated by Father Norman Guilbert. In lieu of flowers donation in his memory can be made to: Swim Across the Sound, c/o St. Vincent Hospital, 2800 Main St. Bridgeport, CT 06606.
