Obituary: Elizabeth W. (Betty) Suto, 80, of Fairfield

Elizabeth W. (Betty) Suto, 80, of Fairfield, passed away peacefully Saturday, November 12, 2016 at St. Vincent’s Medical Center.

Born in Malone, N.Y., the daughter of the late Charles and Ruth Walsh, she was raised in Fairfield and graduated from Hood College in Frederick, MD. Following graduation, Betty worked for the Federal Government in Washington, DC for 6 years. She returned to Fairfield and worked for the Aetna Insurance Company for 30 years.

Betty was the past president of the Quota Club in Bridgeport.

Survivors include a sister-in-law, Mary Lou Walsh of Monroe, two nephews, Brian Walsh, his wife Laurel Neary Walsh and their son, Jack of Trumbull and Robert Walsh of Anderson, CA. She was predeceased by a brother, Robert Charles Walsh and a niece, Donna R. Walsh.

A funeral service will be held Saturday, November 26, 2016 at 11 a.m. in the Spear-Miller Funeral Home, 39 South Benson Road, Fairfield. Interment will be private in Oak Lawn Cemetery.

In lieu of flowers memorial contributions may be made to CT Humane Society, 701 Russell Road, Newington, CT 06111.
