Gregg Schelmetic, 55, of Fairfield, passed away on Tuesday, September 4, 2018. Gregg was a lifelong Fairfield resident and a graduate of Roger Ludlowe High School, Class of 1980. At the age of 15, he achieved the rank of Eagle Scout with the Boy Scouts of America. He was a product manager with Hubbell Inc. in Shelton, where he worked for 28 years.

Gregg was a lifelong music lover, a musician and an avid reader, who believed you could never have enough bookshelves. While his instrument of choice was the guitar, he could play nearly any instrument he touched and was a passionate fan of progressive rock music. He was also an excellent cook, a lover of good food and an unabashed teller of Dad-jokes. Gregg was a dedicated family man, who was happiest spending time with his wife and daughters in Vermont and was loved by everyone who knew him.
