Obituary: Joan Ann Becker Leppla, 85, of Fairfield
She enjoyed travel, playing bingo, cards and especially liked the times that she spent with her friends at the Fairfield Senior Center.

Joan Ann Becker Leppla, 85, of Fairfield, wife of the late Frank Leppla passed away on Monday, February 11, 2019.
Born and raised in Brooklyn, NY daughter of the late Edward and Ella Wassmer Becker, Joan was a New York resident for most of her life before moving to Fairfield 20 years ago. She had worked for many years for Montgomery Ward and Victoria's Secret of New York until her retirement.

In earlier years Joan loved being with her family in New Hampshire on Lake Winnipesaukee, she was an avid reader, she enjoyed travel, playing bingo, cards, and especially liked the times that she spent with her friends at the Fairfield Senior Center.
Survivors include her children, Glenn Leppla and his wife Linda, Craig Leppla and his wife Nancy, all of Fairfield, a daughter Elaine Mowry and her husband Gary of North Attleboro, MA. She leaves behind her grandchildren, Lauren and Alyson Leppla, Erika, Nicholas and Christopher Leppla, and Kristen and Matthew Mowry, many nieces and nephews as well as her grand dogs, Marcy, Cosmo and the late Sam.

Calling hours will be held on Friday, Feb. 15 from 4 p.m. to 8 p.m. at the Lesko & Polke Funeral Home, 1209 Post Road Fairfield Center with a prayer service at 7:30 p.m. Her burial will be held privately.
In lieu of flowers, memorial contributions may be made to the charity of one's choice.
