Obituary: Joan M. Geragosian, 77, Of Fairfield

The following obituary of Fairfield resident Joan M. Geragosian, 77, is from Shaughnessey Banks Funeral Home:

Joan M. Geragosian, age 77, of Fairfield, the beloved wife of Michael Geragosian for over 54
years, passed away peacefully on Friday 24, 2023 in St. Vincent’s Medical Center.

A lifelong resident of Fairfield, Joan was a graduate of Andrew Warde High School, Class of
1964, and the Butler Business School. Joan was a hard and dedicated worker throughout her
lifetime, and at the time of her passing was employed as a Senior Administrative Assistant at
ASML in Wilton for 26 years, and had previously enjoyed a long career with Avco Lycoming
and Allied Signal in Stratford.

Joan was an avid boater for over forty years, and could often be found after work and on week-
ends on her boat at the South Benson Marina. Throughout her lifetime Joan loved nature,
gardening, birds, water-skiing, and spent many winters at Killington or Okemo skiing with her
family.

In addition to her loving husband, Michael, Joan is survived by her son, Michael J. Geragosian
and his wife Jennifer (Hennick) Geragosian of Bristol; her daughter, Jeana Geragosian of
Norwich; her cherished grandchildren, Lennox, Gage and Geoffrey; and her devoted sisters,
Sharon Rodriques of Bridgeport and Betty Gabriel of Shelton. She was predeceased by her
brother, Robert Sears, Jr. and sister, Mary Neilson.

Friends are invited to greet her family on Friday, March 3, 2023 from 4- 6 p.m. at the
Shaughnessey Banks Funeral Home, 50 Reef Road in Fairfield. A funeral service will
immediately follow the visitation at 6:00 p.m.
