Obituary: Joseph Risicato, 97, Of Fairfield

Joseph Risicato, 97, of Fairfield passed away peacefully at home on February 11, 2024. Joe was born on May 4, 1926 to the late Matteo and Elizabeth Granata Risicato.

Joe was a proud Navy veteran during World War II, having entered at only 17 years of age. He was an avid Frank Sinatra and New York Yankees fan. Family and tradition were paramount throughout his entire life. Joe loved to regale friends and family with tales of his life, and the people he met and adventures he had. As the song goes he did it “My Way.”

A Graveside Service was held on Feb. 20 at Gate of Heaven Cemetery, Hawthorne, NY. In lieu of flowers memorial contributions may be made to The Michael J Fox Foundation or to Trinity Episcopal Church Memorial Fund.
