Obituary: Katherine (Kay) Slovensky, 89, of Fairfield
Kay retired from the Westport School system as a cafeteria manager and was a lifelong parishioner of St. Thomas Aquinas Church.

Katherine (Kay) Slovensky, 89, of Fairfield, beloved wife of the late Frank J. Slovensky, passed away peacefully Friday, February 8, 2019 at Bridgeport Hospital. Born in Bridgeport, the daughter of the late Frank and Catherine Kruzshak, she had been a lifelong Fairfield resident. She was a graduate of The Academy of Our Lady of Mercy, Lauralton Hall and Butler Business School
Kay retired from the Westport School system as a cafeteria manager. She was a lifelong parishioner of St. Thomas Aquinas Church where she married Frank, and was an active member of the St. Thomas Seniors. She will be sadly missed by her three children: Mark F. Slovensky and his wife Nancy of Florida, Gail C. Williams and her husband John of Milford and TerryAnn Krauchick and her husband Stephen of Fairfield; seven grandchildren; four great-grandchildren and nieces and nephews. She was predeceased by her first grandchild, Corrine Slovensky and a brother, Robert Kruzshak.

In accordance with Kay’s wishes all services will be private. In lieu of flowers, friends may consider a donation in Kay’s memory to the Wounded Warriors Project, P.O. Box 758516, Topeka, KS 66675-8516 (www.woundedwarriorproject.org).
