Obituary: Katherine Mohr Driscoll, 78, Of Fairfield

Katherine Mohr Driscoll, age 78 of Fairfield, CT entered into eternal life on October 17, 2023 surrounded by her loved ones.

Kathy leaves behind her three children, Duffy Kilbride and her husband Sean, Timothy Driscoll II and his wife Beth, Meghan Pymm and husband Joe; her grandchildren, Emma, Mackenzie, Kieran, Timmy, Patrick, Jack, Drew, Paige and Colin; as well as her brother-in-law, Joseph Driscoll and his wife Betty and their three kids and families. She was predeceased by her husband of 52 years, Timothy; her brother George Mohr and her parents.

Born in Philadelphia, the daughter of Kay and George Mohr, Kathy grew up in her younger years in Doylestown, PA and spent the rest of her childhood in Larchmont, NY. She attended The Ursuline School in New Rochelle, NY and then graduated from Rosemont College in Rosemont, PA. Kathy was fortunate to go to high school and college with many of the same friends that would be her best friends for life. These friendships meant the world to Kathy.

After graduating from college, Kathy and Tim were married. They moved to various cities due to Tim’s service in the Navy. Kathy was a seventh-grade teacher before staying home to raise her family. Tim and Kathy moved around for several years and eventually settled in Fairfield, CT where they resided for over 45 years. Kathy's life revolved around her family and managing Tim's extensive travels, often accompanying him on his journeys.

She was an active member of her local community, volunteering with Hospice and supporting the arts through Sacred Heart University fundraising and events. In her free time, when not doing things for other people, which was not a lot of time, she loved to play golf, tennis and bridge at Aspetuck Valley Country Club with her dearest friends. Kathy enjoyed many fun golf trips with Tim and their closest friends from near and far.

Over the past 25 years, Kathy, better known as “Kiki” to her nine grandchildren, enjoyed her time spoiling them with her generous heart and chocolate chip cookies. She was fortunate to live near most of the kids and was involved with their everyday activities. When not in Fairfield, she was on a plane to see her other 3 grandchildren in Georgia as often as possible.

In the last 4 years while struggling with Alzheimer's, Kathy maintained her grace, beauty, and very sweet attitude. Every person that met Kathy would come away with a smile and warm heart because she had an ease and elegance in her way that made her such a beautiful person. She will be greatly missed by her family and friends.

Friends and family are invited to attend a Memorial Mass at St. Anthony of Padua Church, 149 South Pine Creek Road in Fairfield on Friday, November 3, 2023 at 10:30 a.m. Interment was private.
