Kathleen A. Schultz, passed away on January 31, 2024, at her home in Fairfield, CT, after a courageous battle with cancer.

Kathy was born in St. Louis, MO and graduated from the University of Missouri-Columbia where she was a member of the Kappa Kappa Gamma sorority. She received a Master's degree from both Sacred Heart University and University of Bridgeport.

Kathy worked for 29 years in the Darien, CT Public Schools system. All will miss her joyful exuberance, the care and devotion she shared with each and every child she encountered, her strong connections with staff and families, and her willingness to jump into a costume at any time to make people smile. Kathy was a dedicated educator and a champion of children. She gave so much not only to the students, staff, and families of the Darien community, but to everyone she met throughout her life.

Kathy is preceded in death by her parents, John and Susan Schultz, her nephew, Tommy Schultz and her beloved dog Yoyo. She is survived by her siblings, John (Caryll) Schultz (Kansas City, MO), Mary Ann (Michael) Musick (Chicago, IL), Joseph (Holly) Schultz (St. Louis, MO), Lisa Schultz (Chicago, IL/Fairfield, CT), Jennifer (Caley) Jones (St. Louis, MO), and her nieces and nephews Joe & Megan Schultz, Cole Musick, Kyle & Keith Schultz, Jetta, Alexa, Lainey & Gracie Jones.

A memorial gathering to celebrate Kathy will be held on, Sunday, March 3rd at Tokeneke School in Darien, CT. Drop in anytime between Noon-2:00 to share memories with family and friends. A future celebration of life will be held in St. Louis, Mo, in the summer. Details to follow.
