Obituary: Linda C. Crowley, 70, of Fairfield

Linda was actively involved in numerous town committees and associations.

Linda C. Crowley, 70, of Fairfield, beloved wife of James H. Crowley, III, passed away peacefully Wednesday, February 7, 2018 at the CT Hospice, Branford. Born in Utica, NY, the daughter of the late Joseph and Mary Cote, she had been a Fairfield resident since 1980. She was a graduate of Clinton High School and received her Bachelor’s degree from SUNY Oneonta.

Linda’s first career was as a flight attendant, where she fostered her life-long love of travel. While living in Fairfield, Linda was actively involved in numerous town committees and associations. Linda was an avid supporter of Fairfield Prep and FCDS, and active parishioner of St. Thomas Aquinas Church.

Linda was happiest with family, enjoying a beautiful view of the ocean or the sound, and watching a James Bond film. Survivors in addition to her husband James include two beloved sons, James (JC) H. Crowley IV and his wife Suzanne of Red Bank, NJ and Joseph Cote Crowley and his wife Serena of Boston, MA; three cherished grandchildren, Reagan, James, V and Alexander Crowley; two sisters, Carol Moran and her husband Robert of Yorkville, NY and Gail Massello of Utica, NY; and many nieces and nephews. A memorial Mass celebrating Linda’s life will be held Saturday, February 10, 2018 at 11:00 a.m. at St. Thomas Aquinas Church, 1719 Post Road, Fairfield. Interment will be private.
