Obituary: Lynn M. Cenatiempo, 62 of Fairfield
She was a devout Catholic and parishioner of St. Thomas Aquinas Church, where she sang in the choir and helped with flower arranging.

Lynn M. Cenatiempo, 62 of Fairfield, the beloved wife of 42 years of Giovan G. “John” Cenatiempo, passed away peacefully on Tuesday, April 17, 2018, surrounded by her family. She was born in Bridgeport to the late Vincent and Ann (Postiglione) Belletto and was a lifelong area resident.Lynn graduated from Ludlowe High School in 1974.
She and her husband were married on June 18, 1976 at St. Thomas Aquinas Church in Fairfield. They began their life together in Norwalk and moved to Fairfield in 1979, prior to the birth of their first son. She enjoyed many years working in catering and made many lifelong friends in the process, including the DeMattia and Ahlers families. Lynn emanated warmth and love, and always welcomed family and friends into her home. Coffee, conversation, and a home cooked meal were always available.

She was a devout Catholic and parishioner of St. Thomas Aquinas Church, where she sang in the choir and helped with flower arranging. She was also involved with the St. Thomas Aquinas School while both of her sons were students there, helping run the hot lunch and sports programs. Lynn enjoyed her book club, going to the beach, trips to the casino, and visiting family.
In addition to her husband, Lynn is survived by her loving sons, Anthony Cenatiempo and his wife, Sarah, of Wilton and James Cenatiempo and his wife, Andrea, of Stratford, as well as the daughter she always wanted, Jennifer DeMattia of Stratford. She was predeceased by her cherished son, Joseph Cenatiempo; her brother, Vincent Belletto; and her sister, Deborah Fleischer.

Friends are invited to a Memorial Mass on Saturday, April 21, 2018 at 10:00 a.m. at St. Thomas Aquinas Church in Fairfield. Interment will be private. In lieu of flowers, memorial contributions may be made in Lynn’s name to: The Whittingham Cancer Center, c/o Norwalk Hospital Foundation, 34 Maple St., Norwalk, CT 06856.
