Margaret F. Rung, 102, of Fairfield, passed away peacefully on May 12, 2016, at St. Joseph’s Manor (Genesis Healthcare), Trumbull, CT.
Margaret was born on January 18, 1914, in Bridgeport, CT. She was the daughter of the late John and Rose Foito. She was predeceased by her husband, Raymond Rung Sr., a daughter, Marjorie Beth Rung, son, Raymond Rung Jr., and brothers Albert Foito, Ernie Foito, Frederick Foito, and Julius Foyle. A sister, Jane (Kraynick) Sella. She will be loved and remembered by several nieces and nephews as well as her special friends, the Pistey family.

Marge was proud of her Hungarian heritage and will be remembered most as an avid gardener, and knitting countless sweaters and scarves for friends and family members. She had a special talent of creating dried floral arrangements and worked for the Garden Exchange in Trumbull.
Mrs. Rung was a longtime member of the Greenfield Hill Garden club having served as president. In addition, she was a faithful member of St. Pius X Church in Fairfield.

A Mass of Christian Burial will be celebrated Friday, May 20, 2016 at 10:00 a.m. St. Pius X Church, 834 Brookside Dr, Fairfield. Entombment will follow in Mountain Grove Cemetery Chapel Mausoleum, Bridgeport.
In lieu of flowers, donations can be made to the Fairfield Audubon Society, 314 Unquowa Road, Fairfield, CT 06824.
