Obituary: Margherite G. Vigorito, 89, of Fairfield

Vigorito was a talented seamstress and constructed the cheerleaders' uniforms at Andrew Warde High School for many years.

FAIRFIELD, CT — Margherite G. Vigorito, 89, of Fairfield, the beloved wife of the late Joseph V. Vigorito, passed away peacefully on Monday, July 25, 2016 with her family by her side. She was born in the Bronx to the late Ernest and Rose Camerino and was a longtime Fairfield resident.

Mrs. Vigorito was a talented seamstress and will be remembered as constructing the cheerleaders’ uniforms at Andrew Warde High School for many years. She was a promising artist who enjoyed oil painting and painting watercolors. She was an unbelievable dancer and many of her children follow suit. She lived life to the fullest.

Mrs. Vigorito is survived by her four loving children, Joseph E. Vigorito and his wife, Donna of Milford, Lia Vigorito of Fairfield, Thomas Vigorito of Black Rock and Jerry Vigorito of Fairfield. She will also be missed by her sister, Cynthia Reitano of Ft. Lauderdale; nieces, nephews and family in Florida; her three grandchildren, Joseph A. Vigorito and his wife, Barbara of Fairfield, Samantha and Victoria Vigorito, both of Fairfield; and her great grandson, Joseph W. Vigorito. In addition to her husband, she was predeceased by her brother, Louis Camerino.

Funeral services were private. Donations may be made in her memory to the Alzheimer’s Assn., P.O. Box 96011, Washington, DC 20090-6011.
