Obituary: Marie Anna Lesko Grega, 104, Of Fairfield

The following obituary of Fairfield resident Marie Anna Lesko Grega, 104, is from Lesko & Polke Funeral Home:

Marie Anna Lesko Grega, age 104, of Fairfield, beloved wife of the late Daniel (Dezso) Grega, entered into eternal life on November 11, 2022.

Marie was born in Bridgeport to the late John S. and Anna Santa Lesko and was a graduate of Bassick High School. She had worked for RCA Records as a Mother Tester. Marie was a gifted crocheter, knitter, seamstress, gardener, and baker and enjoyed games and puzzles. She enjoyed playing the organ and took great pleasure in road trips, having traveled by car to 48 states. Marie knew it was important to give back to her community and volunteered for the Merton House and St. Vincent's Special Needs.

Marie's memory will be lovingly remembered by her children, Marie Grega Folchick, of Trumbull and Christine Grega Daigle (Andrew V. Daigle, Jr.), of Essex, CT; grandchildren, James R. Folchick (Gina), of Trumbull, Thomas Grant (Denise), of Greenwich, Kathryn DeGruttolo (Angelo), of Trumbull, and Andrew V. Daigle, III, and his fiancée, Brandi Crockett, of Ojai, CA; and great-grandchildren, Megan and Daniel Folchick, Mario and Siena Grant, Lily and Isabelle DeGruttolo, and Kaia, Isabel, and Andrew, IV Daigle. In addition to her husband, Daniel, Marie was predeceased by two children, Marie Bernadette and Daniel James Grega.

Calling hours were scheduled to be held on Tuesday, November 15, 2022, from 4-8 p.m. in the Lesko & Polke Funeral Home, 1209 Post Road, in Fairfield Center. Her Mass of Christian Burial will take place on Wednesday, November 16, 2022, at 10:00 a.m. at St. Emery Church, 838 Kings Highway E., Fairfield, CT 06825. Internment will follow at Mountain Grove Cemetery, Bridgeport.
