Obituary: Marion P. Siksay, 83, of Fairfield

Marion was artistic and loved sketching, painting and woodcarving. She raised and competitively showed poodles and raised and raced pigeons.

Marion P. Siksay, 83, of Fairfield, wife of the late Joseph Siksay, passed away peacefully in her home Wednesday, December 21, 2016 with her loving son Bruce at her side.

Born in Rockford, IL, she was raised in Black Rock and had been a Fairfield resident for more than 55 years. Marion was very artistic and loved sketching, painting and woodcarving. She raised and competitively showed poodles and raised and raced pigeons. She loved to fish, both salt and fresh water and was proud of her many mounted trophies.

Marion always looked forward to her daily walks with her friends at the Trumbull Mall.

Predeceased by her son, Timothy Siksay, she is survived by three children, Kenneth Siksay of Bristol, TN, Bruce Siksay of Fairfield and Lori Passos of Milford; 8 grandchildren, 5 great-grandchildren and several nieces and nephews.

Friends and family may call Tuesday, December 27, 2016 from 4-7 p.m. in the Spear-Miller Funeral Home, 39 South Benson Road, Fairfield. A prayer service will be conducted at 7 p.m. Interment will be private.

In lieu of flowers memorial contributions may be made to the Bridgeport Rescue Mission, 1150 Fairfield Avenue, Bridgeport, CT 06605.
