Obituary: Mary Margaret O’Leary, 74, of Fairfield
Mary was a deeply devoted mother, sister, aunt and grandmother. She was a very caring and loving person who always put others before herself

Mary Margaret O’Leary, 74, of Fairfield, passed away peacefully in her home on October 31, 2016. Mary was born April 3, 1942 in Killyon, County Offaly, Ireland. She was the daughter of the late William and Anne Dunne Quegan.
Mary is survived by her two sons, Brian O’ Leary (Kate Testa) of Stratford and Aidan O’Leary (Meigan) of Hamden, five grandchildren Fiona, Conor, Sinead, Ava and Declan O’Leary, her sisters Betty Muldoon (Joe) of Fairfield, Kathleen Kirwan (Michael) and Madeline O’Meara (Peter) and her brother Liam Quegan (Bridie) all of County Offaly, Ireland, her niece Eileen Boone (Jay) of North Carolina and her nephew Kevin Muldoon of South Carolina as well as many loved nieces and nephews in the United States and Ireland. She was predeceased by her son Dermot O’Leary.

Mary was a deeply devoted mother, sister, aunt and grandmother. She loved spending time with her grandchildren and travelling to see family in Ireland. Mary was retired from Bank of America and was an active part of the banking industry for many years. She was a long standing member of the Gaelic-American Club of Fairfield.
Mary was a very caring and loving person who always put others before herself. She will be greatly missed by family and friends.
