Obituary: Mary Suzanne (Sue) Riordan, 86, Of Fairfield

Mary Suzanne (Sue) Riordan, 86 of Fairfield, the beloved wife for over 61 years of the late David J. Riordan, passed away on Thursday, December 7, 2023. She was born in Westport to the late Thomas and Mary (Collier) Bannon. Sue was an avid Bridge player and also loved to bowl, golf and go to the casino.

Sue is survived by her four children, Cindy Miller and her husband, Jim of Newtown, Patty Skurja and her husband, George of Stratford, Lynn Ambrose and David Riordan and his wife, April of Fairfield. She will also be missed by her grandchildren, Kristine (Peter) Cochrane, Steven (Paige) Vichiola, Bobby (Alex) Ambrose, Kacey (Tyler) Albertson, Jennifer (Alex) Magoulas, Jake Skurja, Taylor Miller and Cayla Riordan; and great-grandchildren, Julian, Emma and Colin, Christian, Carter and Brody, Mason and Maya. In addition to her husband, she was predeceased by her brother, Thomas Bannon.

Friends may greet her family on Thursday, December 14, 2023 from 4:00 to 6:30 p.m. at the Shaughnessey Banks Funeral Home, 50 Reef Rd. in Fairfield. A prayer service will be held at 6:30 p.m.
