Obituary: MaryAnn Lazowski Petrone, 38, of Fairfield

MaryAnn Margaret Lazowski Petrone, 38, of Fairfield, beloved wife of Scott Petrone, passed away on Friday, October 27, 2017 after a courageous battle with metastatic breast cancer.
Born in Bridgeport, MaryAnn was a lifelong Fairfield resident. She received her Bachelor of Arts degree in interior design in 2001 from the University of New Haven where she met her husband, Scott. She later went on to earn her Master’s degree from Southern Connecticut State University.

MaryAnn was an Art educator for the Diocese of Bridgeport and taught at Our Lady of Fatima School in Wilton and St. Mary's School in Ridgefield. Additionally, she was a religious school teacher at St. Emery’s Church.
A young lady with many interests, MaryAnn loved art and music, playing the piano, gardening, scrapbooking, sewing and taking short trips to Amish Country in PA with her family. She was also a Girl Scout leader for her daughter Madeline’s troop at North Stratfield Elementary School.

In addition to her loving husband Scott, MaryAnn leaves behind and will be greatly missed by her precious daughters, Madeline and Sophie, father John Lazowski, sister Catherine Correa and her husband John (nephews Peter and William), special cousin Wendy Varga and her husband Zoltan all of Fairfield, father-in-law and mother-in-law Robert and Christal Petrone of Vernon, sister-in-law Rebecca Petrone and niece Jemma of Manchester, as well as many special aunts, uncles and cousins and her beloved dog Bailey. She was predeceased by her mother Karen Lazowski.
Funeral services will be held on Thursday, November 2 at 12 pm directly at St. Emery's Church, 838 King's Hwy, Fairfield with burial to follow in Oak Lawn Cemetery.
In lieu of flowers, contributions may be made toward a fund for the benefit of MaryAnn’s daughters c/o The Lesko & Polke Funeral Home. The Petrone family expresses their thanks and gratitude to Dr. Sandhya Dhanjal and her Oncology associates, to the family and many friends for their outpouring of love and support given to MaryAnn and her family during this difficult time.
