Obituary: Michael Anthony Cosenza, Jr., 'Mickey', 89, of Southport

Michael Anthony Cosenza, Jr. ("Mickey"), age 89, of Southport, CT, passed away on December 3, 2023.

He was born on July 13, 1934, to Michael Sr. and Sue Cosenza, and was raised in the Greenwich Village section of New York City. Mickey was a caring, dedicated, loyal, and honest man, as evidenced by his unwavering devotion to his family as a husband, father, and grandfather.

Mickey leaves behind his wife, Joan; his sons, Michael, and his wife, Olivia, and Matthew; his grandson, Michael; his granddaughter, Gabrielle; and his brother, Joseph Cosenza, and his wife, Maureen. He is also survived by twelve nieces and nephews. He was preceded in death by his father, mother, sister, Elizabeth, and sister, Barbara.

After graduating Cardinal Hayes High School, Mickey followed in his father's footsteps and furthered his education at Manhattan College, one of the best Engineering schools in the country, graduating in 1955. He then went on to have a decades-long successful career as an Electrical Engineer.

In his free time, Mickey enjoyed working with his hands and watching and talking sports, mostly his beloved NY Giants. Most importantly, Mickey enjoyed teaching his sons how to be good men and fathers.

Funeral services will be held privately.
