Michael W. LaMare, 68, of Fairfield, CT and formerly of Plattsburgh, NY passed away on June 8, 2018 following a fierce battle with cancer. His love, compassion, humor, stories, kind soul & big heart will be missed. He is beloved and survived by his wife Laurene J. O’Brien and children Briana & Kaleb O’Brien LaMare, his siblings; Carol (Tony) Bucci, John LaMare (Keri) of Plattsburgh NY and Mary Jane LaMare (Curt) of Essex Junction, VT, numerous nieces, nephews, cousins and many dear friends.

Michael’s passions where his family, fishing, golf and food. Following his career as a chef in New York City, he lived and worked in Fairfield as the Jesuits personal chef at Fairfield University for nearly 20 years.
