Obituary: Nathaniel Leavenworth Lee, 26 Weeks, Of Fairfield

Nathaniel Leavenworth Lee passed away on March 7, 2024 at Yale New Haven Hospital. He was the beloved son of Benjamin Lee and Emily Tang and the treasured baby brother of Matthew and Claire Lee.

Born in New Haven, CT on September 27, 2023 at 26 weeks, he fought bravely to leave the NNICU and join his mother and father and brother and sister at home. Each day, he brought joy to all who knew him. He enjoyed soul-gazing with his mother, playing with his stuffed owl and butterfly, and indulging his father’s desire to read him one more book.

Nathaniel leaves to cherish his memory his grandparents James and Madeline Lee, and Minh and Tuyet Tang. He is deeply loved by his aunts and uncles Amanda and Chris Lowerson, Aurora and Nate Marsh, Alaister and Caitlin Lee, and Baldwin and Jeanifer Tang, as well as his godfather Jeffrey Muskus and godmother Lauren MacKenzie Phan. Nathaniel is survived by his cousins Matilda, Eleanor, and Penelope.

Friends and family may visit on Friday, March 15 from 4PM-7PM at Spear Miller Funeral Home, 39 South Benson Road, Fairfield, CT 06824. A memorial service will be held on Saturday, March 16 at 11AM at First Church Congregational, 148 Beach Road, Fairfield, CT 06824.

The family requests that in lieu of flowers, those who wish to express sympathy consider making a contribution in Nathaniel’s name to the Stamford Museum and Nature Center, where he would have loved playing alongside his siblings.
