Obituary: Pamela Joyce Kuczo, 63, of Fairfield

She volunteered at Connecticut Legal Services in Bridgeport before becoming Executive Director of The Fairfield Housing Authority.

Pamela Joyce Kuczo, 63, of Fairfield, died peacefully on April 30 after a long battle with brain cancer. She was the oldest of four children born to Joseph (deceased) and Dolores Former Kuczo. Her brothers and their families are: Stephen and Sabine Kuczo (nephews Erick and Paul Kuczo) of Bridgeport, Jeff Kuczo and Debbie Wallace of Milford, and Marc and Dawn Kuczo of Huntington. She is also survived by her Aunt and Cousins: Madeline, Alfred and Joseph Speer of Bridgeport.

Pam graduated from Simmons College in Boston, where she became an avid life-long Red Sox Fan. She attended law school at the University of Toledo and majored in Political Science at Long Island University. She interned at the State of Connecticut Attorney General’s Office, where she co-authored a brochure on citizens’ rights and became a Mediator for Consumer Complaints. She volunteered at Connecticut Legal Services in Bridgeport before becoming Executive Director of The Fairfield Housing Authority.

Pam had a passion for politics and the law, especially the Democratic Party and women’s rights in particular. In her later years, as her illness progressed, she worked as a receptionist at the law firm of Wake, See, Dimes and Bryniczka in Westport. She loved making charitable donations no matter how small, 60’s music, history, nature and gardening.

In lieu of flowers, contributions may be made to The Sierra Club, 2101 Webster St Suite 1300 Oakland, CA 94612, or any charity of your choice. A Mass will be held at Our Lady of Assumption Church, 545 Stratfield Rd, Fairfield, CT on Friday May 4, 2018 at 10:00 a.m.
