Obituary: Paul Emery Borona, 63; Former Fairfield Resident
After a career as a truck driver, then an auto mechanic, he retired from Knecht's Garage in 2014.

Paul Emery Borona, 63, passed away peacefully, surrounded by his devoted family on June 1, 2017 after a courageous three-year battle with cancer. Born in Bridgeport, Paul was the son of the late Louis and Mary Jane (Johnson) Borona of Fairfield. He was a graduate of Andrew Warde High School class of 1972.
After a career as a truck driver, then an auto mechanic, he retired from Knecht’s Garage in 2014. A “jack of all trades, master of none” Paul loved to do home repair projects and work on cars and taught his skills to his son.

He is survived by his loving wife of 33 years, Judith and his son Christopher of Shelton, a brother Russell of Puerto Rico, a sister, Audrey Rodak of Naugatuck, 4 nieces and nephews, Candace (Dori), Brian, Michael and Stefanie, a great nephew Anthony and his feline companion, Paisley.
The family would like to thank Dr. Fischbach and the staff of Smilow Cancer Center of Trumbull and the nursing staff at Bridgeport Hospital, Oncology floor, for their caring nature.
