Obituary: Paul Menkes, 98, Of Fairfield

The following obituary of Fairfield resident Paul Menkes, 98, is from Abraham L. Green & Son Funeral Home:

Paul Menkes of Fairfield, beloved husband of Aimee (Coscas) Menkes, passed away on January 22, 2023 in Bridgeport Hospital.

Born in 1924 in Brooklyn, N.Y. to Hyman and Pauline (Cohen) Menkes. He was a graduate of UCONN, receiving a masters in Aeronautical Engineering. Paul retired from Sikorsky after 30 years of service. He proudly served as a LT JG in the U.S. Navy during WW II.

In addition to his wife, he is survived by his son Michael, his daughter Cathy (Paul) Olson, seven grandchildren: Benjamin, Elizabeth, Nicholas , Alexander, and Katheryn Menkes, Olivia and Eric Olson. Graveside service will be private at Agudas Achim Cemetery. Memorial contributions may be made to Schoke Jewish Family Service, 196 Greyrock Place, Stamford, CT 06901.
