Obituary: ​Peter Martin, 62, Of Fairfield

Peter Martin (Mario), age 62 of Fairfield passed away peacefully on Sunday, July 21, 2019, surrounded by his loving family. Peter created a successful career as a master builder, photographer and artist, after completing his Masters in Business Administration from McGill University in 1980. Peter’s joy was in being outdoors and reaching the extraordinary goals he set for himself, including bicycling from Fairfield to California, once while at Andrew Warde High, then again in university. In later years, he enriched the lives of clients all around New England with his exquisite portrait and landscape photographs, imbuing everything he touched with great beauty. Most of all, Peter will be remembered as a man of the highest integrity whose motto was, "Character is Destiny." A wake for Peter was held on Thursday, July 25, 2019, at the Spear-Miller Funeral Home. A Mass celebrating Peter was held at St. Pius Church on Friday, July 26, 2019. Peter is survived by his siblings Jack, Janice and Joe Mario and Anne Hoffman. We will forever miss him.
