Richard E. Peck, 81, of Shelton passed away peacefully after an eleven-year battle with cancer surrounded by his family at CT Hospice. Richard faced his illness with strength, dignity, and resilience, inspiring those around him with his courage and determination.
Richard was an optician by trade and took pride in helping others through his work. Outside of his profession, he had a deep love for photography, especially capturing the beauty and character of lighthouses.
Richard will be remembered for the love he shared with his family and friends, his kind heart, and the lasting impact he made on all who knew him. He touched many lives through his generosity, wisdom, and unwavering devotion to those he cared about most.

Richard was born in Bridgeport on May 7, 1944 son of the late Harry and Catherine Wodosky Peck.
He is survived by his daughter, Kelly Kline; his sons, Cristean Peck (wife Jennifer), Adam Peck (wife Hali), and Eric Peck (fiancée Ellie Campbell); and his grandsons, Logan Kline and Alexander House (Gabriella).

Though he will be deeply missed, his legacy of love, perseverance, and strength will live on in the hearts of all who knew him.
A celebration of Richard’s life will be held at a later date. Arrangements are in care of the PORTO FUNERAL HOME, 234 Foxon Rd. (Rte. 80), East Haven.
