Robert Curley, age 89, of Fairfield, beloved husband of the late Dolores J. Curley, entered into eternal life on Sunday, July 30, 2023.

Born in Bridgeport to the late Ferdinand and Lillian Wallin Curley on February 20, 1934, Robert attended Harding High School and graduated in 1952. Robert then went on to proudly serve his country in the United States Army during the Korean and Vietnam conflict between 1954-1957 while in Korea. Robert had worked for IBM for 30 plus years. He took great pleasure in art and playing golf, and once retired, he enjoyed walking with his childhood friend, Bob. He was a loving father and Poppy, who looked forward to taking his family to museums, camping, and fishing. You knew Robert was having a great time when you heard his contagious laugh.

Robert's memory will be lovingly remembered by his two children, Lee Ann Baranyar, and her husband, James, of Watertown and William J. Curley, and his wife, Rehana, of Florida; two grandsons, William J. Curley, Jr. and James Baranyar, Jr.; and many nieces and nephews. In addition to his loving wife of 55 years, Dolores and his parents, Robert was predeceased by a grandson, Joseph P. McFadden, Jr.; two sisters; one brother, and several nieces and nephews.

All services will be held privately.

The family would like to thank his caregiver, Tomasina Banks, who remained by his side and gave Curley (as she called him) extraordinary professional care, compassion, and love.
