Obituary: Robert E. Myers, 92, of Fairfield
He retired as a mortgage officer for People's Bank. He was a Troop Master for Troop 10 in Fairfield for over 30 years.

Robert E. Myers, 92, a longtime Fairfield resident, beloved husband of 67 years of the late Jean C. Myers, passed away Thursday, December 27, 2018. Jean passed away April 11, 2018. Robert now joins her in eternal life.
Born in Highspire, PA the son of the late Emery and Helen Myers, he had been a Fairfield resident for over 60 years. Mr. Myers retired as a mortgage officer for People’s Bank. He was very active in scouting and was a Troop Master for Troop 10 in Fairfield for over 30 years. He was a member of Fidelity-St. John’s Lodge #3 A.F. & A.M. and a member of Pyramid Shine were he loved participating in the Motor Patrol.

Robert was a very active member of the First Presbyterian Church of Fairfield where he sang in the choir, attended Bible study, and following his retirement, served along with Jean as the Church Sexton.
Survivors include three beloved children: James Myers and his wife Lana of Westborough, MA, Joanne Every of Norwood, MA and Linda Ferranti and her husband Anthony of Orange; five grandchildren: Jennifer Sawdy, Eric Every, Sean Every, Nicholas Ferranti and Heather Ferranti; a great-grandchild, Riley Sawdy; a brother, Elwood Myers and his wife Muriel of MA; and several nieces and nephews.

A funeral service will be held Friday, January 4, 2019 at 11:00 a.m. in the Spear-Miller Funeral Home, 39 South Benson Road, Fairfield. Interment will follow in Lawncroft Cemetery. Friends may greet the family Friday from 10:00 a.m. until the time of the service. In lieu of flowers, friends may consider a donation in memory of Robert to The First Presbyterian Church to benefit the Music Fund, 2475 Easton Turnpike, Fairfield, CT 06825.
