Obituary: Robert P. Frey, 98, Of Southport
Bob was a World War II veteran, serving in the Army Air Corps as a B-17 and B-29 bombardier.

FAIRFIELD, CT — (From Lesko & Polke Funeral Home): Robert ("Bob") Paul Frey of Southport, Connecticut, peacefully passed away on July 21, 2023. He was born in Grand Rapids, Michigan, on January 17, 1925, his father and mother being Otto Joseph Frey and May Helen Cox. He is survived by his beloved life partner of 38 years, Linda Ettorre, his son, Christopher P. Frey, and Christopher's wife, Kristine Frey, and his son, Marc P. Frey, and Marc's wife, Patricia Frey.
Bob was a World War II veteran, serving in the Army Air Corps as a B-17 and B-29 bombardier. He obtained his degree in Economics at Harvard while on the G.I. Bill, and worked in the direct mail and marketing industry for 75 years. He loved tennis and playing the market, cheering on the UConn basketball teams, and was active, generous, and loving to the end.
A memorial service and celebration of life for friends and family will be held at the Southport Woods Condominium clubhouse (next to the pool) from 1 p.m. to 4 p.m. on Saturday, September 9. Per Bob's request, no funeral service will be held.
