Obituary: Roselle Bunani Smith, 43, of Fairfield

Born and raised in the Philippines, Roselle married Brian, the love of her life, in 2008 and proudly became a U.S. citizen two years ago.

Roselle Bunani Smith, 43, of Fairfield, beloved wife of Brian Smith, entered into eternal life on Tuesday, March 21, 2017.

In addition to her loving husband, Brian, Roselle is survived by her parents, Romulo and Felipa Bunani; sibilngs, Rowena Bunani-Lopez, her husband, Joel, and their daughter, Hannah Francheska Bunani; Richard Bunani, his wife, Rosa Lea Bunani, and their children, Romser Luiz, Reanna Lei, and Lance Richard Bunani; and Rosalie Bunani-Tamares, her husband, Sunny, and their children, Sofia Danielle, Shaun Duane, and Shannen Drew Tamares, all of the Philippines. Additionally, she is remembered by Brian's parents, Gerald and Dianne Smith; and his siblings, Allison Hjorth, and her husband Christopher, Jeffrey Smith, and his wife Laurie, Adam Smith, and his wife Erin, Todd Smith; an additional seven nieces and nephews.

Born and raised in the Philippines, Roselle came to the United States in 2004. In 2008, she met and later married Brian, the love of her life. She proudly became a citizen of the United States two years ago.

A former clerk at the Whole Foods in Fairfield, Roselle courageously battled breast cancer for five years. The silver lining of this time was her getting to know many kind, caring people who came to her aid. She, too, touched numerous individuals with her continuously uplifting outlook and zeal for life.

Friends may greet the family on Saturday, March 25, 2017 from 9:30-11:30 AM in the Lesko & Polke Funeral Home, 1209 Post Road, in Fairfield Center. Her Memorial Mass will follow at 12:00 PM at Holy Family Church, Fairfield.
