Obituary: Stanley ‘Bucky’ Buckmir, 84, of Fairfield
Stan ran his own business, Fairfield Graphics, for 45 years and was an avid golfer with five holes-in-one.

Stanley “Bucky” Buckmir, 84 (I know I lied about my age to my buddies, surprise!), one of 11, of Fairfield, passed away in his home on September 4, 2018. Born in Bridgeport, Stan was a lifelong area resident.
Stan worked for Hidu doing printing and camera work from 1963-1968 until he later opened up his own company, Fairfield Graphics, in 1970. After 45 years of success, Stan retired from his business in 2015. He was an avid golfer with five holes in one and was a member of several country clubs including Hillandale Country Club (72-75), Grassy Hill Country Club (75-87), and Oronoque Country Club (87-17)

Stan is survived by his son Brian and daughter in law Mariana; his grandchildren Dana (Brett’s daughter), Isabela (Brian’s daughter), and Lucas (Brian’s son); his sisters Rose and Anne, and his brother Joseph; his various nieces and nephews; and many golfing buddies. He is predeceased by his son Brett and his brothers Michael, Victor (who was like a father to him), George, Nicholas, John, Stephen and his sister Marge. A funeral mass for Stan will be held at Our Lady of the Assumption Church in Fairfield on Saturday, September 22, 2018 at 11:00 AM.
