Obituary: Thomas Julius Milligan, 28, Of Fairfield

Milligan was a graduate of Fairfield Ludlowe High School, an accomplished musician and a dependable friend.

Thomas Julius Milligan, 28, of Fairfield, passed away suddenly on Dec. 14, 2021. He is the loving son of Nancy Milligan and the late Robert Milligan. Thomas is survived by an aunt, Stephanie Hrynyk, of Syracuse, and several cousins.

Thomas was an accomplished musician; he excelled at playing the euphonium, which he played since he was a young child. After graduating from Roger Ludlowe High School, Thomas attended Uconn as a music major. He continued his passion for music at The Hartt School, where he earned a master's in music and was currently a doctoral candidate. But more than his educational and musical achievements, he was a loving son and a fantastic and dependable friend.

A funeral service will be held 10 a.m. Wednesday at Three Saints Orthodox Church, 26 Howard Ave., Ansonia. A walk-through visitation was held 4-7 p.m. Tuesday at the Spear Miller Funeral Home, 39 S. Benson Road, Fairfield, with a Panachida Service at 4 p.m. In lieu of flowers, gifts can be made to support scholarships for students at The Hartt School at the University of Hartford, 200 Bloomfield Ave., West Hartford CT 06117.
