Obituary: Thomas W. Tripodi, 57, of Fairfield

Thomas W. Tripodi, 57, of Fairfield, passed away peacefully on Thursday, November 30, 2017. Born in Bridgeport to the late Ruth and John Tripodi, he was a graduate of Roger Ludlowe High School, Class of 1978.

During his lifetime, he was involved with the maintenance of ships and power plants and travelled worldwide. Tom loved the L.I. Sound and had a passion for fishing and boating. He could also be found playing bocce at Veteran’s Park in Fairfield or spending time with his many friends.

He is survived by his three children, Matthew of Philadelphia and Nicholas and Alex of Sharon; his sister, Barbara Gomperts and her husband, George of Southport; his brother, Joseph A. Tripodi and his wife, Jackie Samwick of Westport; his nieces, Lisa Gomperts and Tracy Siciliano of GA, Meghan of CA; and his nephews, Eric Gomperts of Chiang Rai, Thailand, Ryan Tripodi of Westport and John of CA; as well as his former wives, Martha Gallucci Tripodi of Fairfield and Susan Wright of Sharon. He was predeceased by his brother, John.

Friends may greet his family on Thursday, December 7, 2017 from 4:00-6:30 p.m. at the Shaughnessey Banks Funeral Home, 50 Reef Rd. in Fairfield Center. A Memorial Service with the Rev.
