The following obituary is from Spear-Miller Funeral Home:

Virginia Leffert (Ginny) passed away peacefully at Mozaic Senior Services on May 3, 2024 at the young age of 96 years old! She is now reunited with her Henry, who she has missed tremendously since his passing in 2011. They celebrated over 60 years of marriage together. Ginny was always happiest with friends and family surrounding her at frequent gatherings over the years, whether at Lake Hills, their pool, or with their son, Tim and his family at their home in Southport. Ginny was a tremendous artist and crafter. Numerous family members have her paintings, crocheted or knitted items or any number of decoupaged items. Ginny worked for a time for the Parks and Recreation office in Fairfield and was the author of the Letters to Santa each year. It’s fun for family to see the Santa mailboxes around town, which she painted and decorated, still with her distinctive handwriting on them!

Ginny was an amazing Nana to her two grandchildren, Matt and Jamie. They spent many weekend nights over the years sleeping over with Nana and Bapa and have fond memories of those times.
Ginny was the last of her generation in the Leffert family. She is survived by her son Tim and his wife Ann of Southport, her grandson Matt, his wife Jenn and their son, Henry of Brooklyn, and her granddaughter Jamie and her fiancé Mike, also of Brooklyn. Ginny was thrilled to have spent time with her great grandson, Henry, who was born in June, 2023. Her passing leaves our hearts sad but filled with many wonderful memories.
