William Herbert Searle, Sr., age 88, of Sun City West, AZ and formerly of Fairfield and Milford, beloved husband of Patricia Fomenko Searle, died on Monday, April 3, 2017. Bill was born on March 12, 1929 to the late Herbert and Margaret Francis Searle.

He was a proud veteran of the US Army and served as a tank commander in the Korean War.

Bill served as a police officer for the City of Milford for over 15 years. Survivors include his children, William H. Searle Jr. and his wife Helaine of Prescott, Arizona, Lynn Simpson and her husband Don of Milford and Audrey Verzinskie and her husband Jim of PA, five grandchildren; Beth Noel, Jeff and Tim Naparstek and Wade and Cody Searle and sister-in-law, Tally Searle of North Carolina.

Bill is predeceased by his brother, Robert Searle. Friends and family are invited to call on Tuesday, April 11th, 2017 from 10:00 am - 11:00 am in THE GREGORY F DOYLE FUNERAL HOME, 291 BRIDGEPORT AVENUE, MILFORD. A Memorial Service will be held in the funeral home at 11:00 am and interment will follow in Lawncroft Cemetery, Fairfield. In lieu of flowers, donations may be made to the charity of your choice.
