Over 1,600 Lose Power In Fairfield, Easton: UI

About an hour after the outage began, power had been restored to most affected customers, according to UI.

FAIRFIELD, CT — Over 1,600 UI customers lost power Friday morning in Fairfield and Easton, but service was quickly restored for most who were affected, according to the utility's website.

As of about 10:45 a.m., 1,608 customers were without power — more than 1,500 of whom were Fairfield residents — after the area was under a wind advisory overnight. The outage began about 10 a.m., and by 11 a.m., the number of customers with no power had dropped to 273, according to UI's outage map.

Full restoration was estimated for about 2 p.m.
