Overturned Cement Truck Closes Mill Plain Road Railroad Overpass

Truck reportedly pours 10 cubic yards of material onto the roadway.

The road near the Mill Plain Road railroad overpass has been closed after a cement truck collided with the overpass shortly before noon.

Police and fire personel on scene closed the section of road near the overpass and re-routed traffic. A tow truck was in the process of pulling the cement truck away shortly after 1 p.m.

The structural integrity of the bridge was being examined by Metro North officials at the scene. Track 3 has a speed restriction in effect and tracks 1, 2 and 4 have returned to normal speed, said MTA spokeswoman Marjorie Anders.
