FAIRFIELD, CT — Three people stole a car in Southington and tried to steal two more in Fairfield during the weekend, according to the Connecticut Post.
Police responded about 7:15 a.m. Sunday to a Belleview Avenue home in Southington, where a car that was briefly left running had been stolen, the Post reported. Less than two hours later, two young men tried to take a pair of vehicles from a driveway in Fairfield’s Pepperidge Circle, but they were confronted by a resident and fled in the stolen car, a black Audi A6, according to the Post.
The car was eventually recovered in Southington along the Meriden Waterbury Turnpike, where three people in masks fled police on foot, the Post reported.
