No

Have you ever held a public office, whether appointive or elective?

No

Now we'd like to ask a few questions about your reasons for running and your general views on politics and government. First, why are you seeking this office?

I am new to Fairfield and want to support the town to live to its full potential. I would like to represent constituents’ ideas and concerns by lending my voice to preserve our town’s character while planning for the future.

Please complete this statement: The single most pressing issue facing my constituents is \_\_\_, and this is what I intend to do about it.

The United Illuminating Transmission Line proposal. So far, I have attended both the community meeting at the Pequot Library and the United Illuminating Town Hall meeting. I will continue to be a vocal advocate in supporting the community and voice their concerns with the project.

What are the major differences between you and the other candidates seeking this post?

I believe it’s time for a fresh voice and new perspectives. When I initially moved to Fairfield, I fell in love with its character, the town services, and its residents. While I cannot speak on behalf of other candidates, I know that I will bring energetic, proactive thinking that will advance our town into a brighter future.

What other issues do you intend to address during your campaign?

Over-development is the talk of the town. While state law, 8-30g, supersedes the town’s control over housing development, I believe having vocal advocates elected to represent the community is vital in bringing transparency and advocacy within the neighborhood. Further, I’m committed to maintaining the character of the town, while promoting stable and appropriate growth.

What accomplishments in your past would you cite as evidence you can handle this job?

I am an experienced educational leader with a tireless devotion to achieving goals.

What is the best advice anyone ever gave you?

When I accepted my first educational leadership role this quote was passed onto me. These are the standards I’ve set for myself in life and leadership.

“The Courage of Integrity…the highest courage is to dare to be yourself in the face of adversity, choosing right over wrong, ethics over convenience and truth over popularity.” Author Unknown
