UPDATE: Pedestrian Hit by a Vehicle in Fairfield Friday Morning

A Fairfield Ludlowe student was struck on her way to school.

Update:

The Connecticut Post reports that the pedestrian struck by a car this morning was a 17-year-old girl who was heading to Fairfield Ludlowe High School. She suffered an apparent broken hip in the accident and is being treated at Bridgeport Hospital, according to the Post.

The student told police that she attempted to cross the street when she did (she stepped in between two stopped cars in the southbound lane and was hit by a car traveling north) because the sidewalk ahead was not cleared of snow, according to the Post.
