Pedestrian Injured In Fairfield Crash: Police
The incident occurred Tuesday morning, according to authorities.

FAIRFIELD, CT — A pedestrian was injured Tuesday morning when the person was struck by a vehicle while in the crosswalk at the intersection of Post and Beach roads in Fairfield, according to police.
The crash occurred at about 10 a.m., and the pedestrian is believed to have suffered a minor leg injury in the incident, Fairfield Police Sgt. Jenna Wellington told Patch.
According to Wellington, the vehicle was turning right from the Post Road onto Beach Road when it struck the pedestrian.

"The operator of the striking vehicle was issued a citation for failure to grant the right of way to a pedestrian in a crosswalk," Wellington said.
