Pedestrian Killed In Fatal I-95 Crash In Fairfield: CT State Police
The crash reportedly occurred Friday morning.
FAIRFIELD, CT — A pedestrian was killed Friday morning in a crash southbound on I-95 in Fairfield, according to Connecticut State Police.
The crash, which occurred between exits 22 and 23, occurred at about 2:20 a.m. and resulted in the temporary closure of the thruway southbound while state police investigated.
Traffic was snarled for miles, but authorities have since been reopened the road, WFSB-TV reported.

"Preliminary information states it is a one (1) car vs pedestrian [crash] at approximately 2:20 a.m.," state police wrote in an email to Patch.
Authorities said the scene is still active, and the investigation is still ongoing.
