Pedestrian Killed In Post Road Crash In Fairfield: Police
The crash occurred just after the morning rush on Wednesday.

FAIRFIELD, CT — A 59-year-old Colchester man was killed Wednesday morning when he was struck by a vehicle, while he was doing surveying work, in the driveway of a business at 2150 Post Road in Fairfield, according to police.
The crash occurred at about 9:15 a.m., and the victim's identity has not been released, pending notification of next of kin. He was taken to St. Vincent's Medical Center after the crash, where he was pronounced dead.
"Upon the arrival of emergency personnel, it was determined that a surveyor, who was assigned to perform work in the area, was struck by a vehicle in the driveway of the business," wrote Fairfield Police Lt. Michael Paris in a statement. "The driver of the vehicle was identified as a 19-year-old female who remained at the scene and is cooperating with police."
