Pedestrian Struck By Vehicle In Fairfield: Police

The pedestrian was taken to a hospital to get treatment for minor injuries, and the driver was charged with distracted driving, police said.

FAIRFIELD, CT — A pedestrian was struck by a vehicle Thursday night in Fairfield, according to police.

Officers received the report about 9:30 p.m. that a person had been hit at the intersection of Quincy Street and Penfield Road, police said. When they arrived, the pedestrian was awake and alert, but was taken to an area hospital to receive treatment for minor injuries, according to police.

The driver was charged with distracted driving, police said.
