FAIRFIELD, CT — Police were called Saturday to a Fairfield McDonald's after receiving a report that a gun was found at the fast food restaurant.

Officers responded to the business at 1853 Black Rock Turnpike, where the manager said she found a bag under a table containing a gun, according to a police report. Officers identified the weapon as a pellet gun, the report said.

Around the same time, a minor called the restaurant, saying he left his bag at the business and wanted to pick it up, according to the report. Police identified the minor and met with his parents to return the gun, the report said.
