Person Trapped In Vehicle After Crash; Rescued By Fairfield Firefighters

The victim was taken to a hospital to be treated for injuries that were not life-threatening, according to the Fairfield Fire Department.

FAIRFIELD, CT — Firefighters rescued a person who was trapped in a vehicle Monday in Fairfield. Emergency personnel received a call about the crash just before 2 p.m. and dispatched firefighters to the scene, on northbound Interstate 95 between Exits 22 and 23, according to the Fairfield Fire Department. Firefighters removed the door of the vehicle to access the victim, who was taken to a hospital to be treated for injuries that were not believed to be life-threatening, according to the department.
