Republican Peter Tallman, 65, is running for RTM District 8 in FAIRFIELD.

Family in government: No

The single biggest issue in town is ______, and I plan to do this about it:

Over crowding/traffic, especially in my District 8 which includes the Town Center. We need to push back harder against the 8-30G developments that are ruining our town. Any affordable housing should be for the Fairfield families, especially seniors -who have spent decades, and if not generations - who wish to remain in Fairfield.

Critical differences between me and my opponents:

I was born and raised in Fairfield, the youngest of seven children, and many of whom still live in town. I care deeply about the future of Fairfield.

Accomplishments:

Having 6 years of RTM experience, I know who to speak with about the various subject matters we deal with. I helped to push the investigation of the fill-pile scandal. Now serving on the Education and Recreation Committee as the Vice Chair, I've been a strong advocate of improving our athletic facilities in our town, and especially at our two high schools.

Other issues:

Like everyone else, keeping our taxes at a reasonable rate, especially for our seniors, and who are still waiting for more effective tax relief.

What else would you like voters to know about you?

I'm a big fan of Democracy - not socialism, communism, marxism, and etc. That's not what this country was built on.
